LexPhiat Firm Terms of Service

These terms are between LexPhiat and the law firm named on the account (the “Firm”). They are accepted by the Firm’s designated owner on the Firm’s behalf.

1. The Firm owns its account and data

The Firm owns its account and all data in it. The Firm’s owner can always add or remove administrators, remove a managing partner, choose a different partner, export its data, or close the account.

2. Partners act as delegated administrators

If the Firm uses a LexPhiat partner (for example its IT provider), the partner may manage users, roles, practice areas and seat counts and view subscription status. A partner is never the account owner. Partners cannot see matters, documents or client information unless the Firm approves a time-limited access request.

3. Approved data access

Partners and LexPhiat support staff may view Firm data only during a session the Firm approves for a stated reason and a limited time. Every such session, and every page viewed during it, is recorded in a log the Firm can review. The Firm may revoke access at any time.

4. Firm responsibilities

The Firm is responsible for its own professional obligations, including supervising non-lawyer assistance under the applicable rules of professional conduct, and for deciding whom it grants access.

5. Billing

The Firm pays LexPhiat directly under the plan shown at activation. Changes to users or practice areas made by the Firm or its partner change the subscription price; the owner is notified of each change.

6. Changes to these terms

LexPhiat will ask the owner to accept any material change before it applies.
